In Northern Illinois, I see nothing unimaginative or commonplace about it. The only commonality I see often is how uncared for the ground in which we walk on is. And while we have created laws that are supposed to ensure that these areas are safe for all users, they often are not. You can hear all manner of the reasoning behind why someone doesn’t make a decision to work to make it so. However, it usually boils down to money and a sheer lack of compassion towards the meaning behind the laws.
